Description: This course dives into the interdisciplinary field of Tangible User Interfaces (TUI). TUIs are primarily concerned with the physical embodiment of digital information and computation and try to go beyond Graphical User Interfaces (GUIs). The course comprises of hands-on activities (project) and theoretical components with a project-based learning approach. It will look into various aspects of human-computer interaction and Physical prototyping.
Course Level: This is an advanced level course that requires students to make working prototypes. In terms of hardware/ software platforms, students are free to choose any (such as Arduino, RPi, ESP, etc., Processing, P5.js, Unity, etc., Sensors/ Actuators, 3D Printing or whatever is suitable), to implement their ideas and bring them to life.
